This is BJC event.
We can’t wait to see you all, it has been far too long!
We are so excited to be bringing you the 32nd British Juggling Convention and hope you will join us for another fun-filled week of juggling, spinning, hooping, workshops, shows, games and more. There will even be some Easter fun!
The British Juggling Convention is one of the biggest and longest running juggling and circus-related festivals in the world. It has been running for over three decades and is organised by an ever-changing array of volunteers. The event is for all forms of juggling and object manipulation, plus many other circus skills.
It is a 6-day event showcasing some of the best performing talent from the UK and further afield in a host of different shows, as well as a packed programme of workshops in all sorts of juggling and associated circus skills, from beginners 3 scarf workshops, diabolo body moves, and multi-hula hoop to Russian bar, and how to make wind instruments from root vegetables… The BJC is able to offer workshops for almost anybody's skillset or interests. In order to make our workshops happen we rely on the skills and generosity of those attending, so if you think you have something to offer please do get in touch.
As well as shows and workshops, the BJC includes on-site camping in the price of the ticket, on-site catering, and a Lazy Juggler bar serving locally-sourced ales as well as a full range of drinks, which (like the convention) is run by jugglers for jugglers, staffed by volunteers, and with all of the proceeds going towards the event.
There is an abundance of space with two 24-hour juggling halls, a large atrium and football fields of green space outside. However, the most special thing about the British Juggling Convention is YOU. It is the attendees who really make the event, be it by sharing tricks informally in the hall or leading workshops, volunteering at checkpoints or serving beers, or getting up on stage in an Open Stage or Renegade. The UK juggling and circus community is loving, welcoming, and without compare and that’s why it’s still going after all these years. So whether it’s your 30th BJC or your first, you’ll be sure to find a like-minded community to share your throwing, catching, twisting, spinning, swinging, balancing, and performing with.
